Introducing Samantha (Sam) Klausen
We’re happy to share that Samantha (Sam) Klausen has joined the Hatfield Knivila team. Sam is a business and health care attorney who advises providers and health care organizations on the practical legal issues that come with growth, change, and day-to-day operations.
Sam’s work focuses on helping clients move matters forward—from health care transactions and MSO structuring to regulatory and compliance counseling, contract support, privacy considerations, and change-of-ownership filings. She has experience working with organizations across the industry, including independent provider groups, startups, MSOs, and private equity-backed platforms.
Before joining the firm, Sam practiced at Tonkon Torp LLP. Earlier in her career, she worked in Oregon government and policy, including roles supporting gubernatorial offices and legislative leadership, and she has experience advocating for business and health care interests—background that informs her approach to navigating regulatory and policy environments.
Sam earned her J.D., cum laude, from Willamette University College of Law and her B.S. in Political Science from the University of Oregon, and she is admitted to practice in Oregon.
